The College sponsors local and national abstract competitions for Early Career Physicians, Resident/Fellow and Medical Student Members. Winning entries in both the National Clinical Vignette and National Research competitions are featured each year at the annual Internal Medicine meeting.
Abstracts are divided into six categories: Clinical Vignette, and Research (The Research competition includes abstracts submitted as Basic Research, Clinical Research, High Value Care, Quality Improvement - Patient Safety, and Physician Well-being and Professional Fulfillment.)
