Three Clinical Skills formats are offered at the Internal Medicine Meeting: Clinical Workshops, Case-Based Learning, and Clinical Skills Center ticketed activities.
Clinical Workshops
These small-group workshops provide opportunities for close faculty–learner interaction, role play, and hands-on learning.
Due to format requirements, workshops have a limited number of seats available. There is no ticket required to attend these workshops; however, it is highly recommended that you arrive at the classroom well in advance of the scheduled start time. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Case-Based Learning
These large-group activities provide a focus on topics with the use of case-based scenarios and real-world clinical examples to best achieve the session objectives. There is no ticket required to attend these workshops. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Clinical Skills Center
The Clinical Skills Center offers a dynamic range of hands-on, ticketed activities designed to enhance practical expertise. Activities include procedural training, physical examination training, simulation experiences, and point-of-care ultrasound instruction in Ultrasound Alley. Participants have an opportunity to practice essential techniques and enhance their diagnostic and interpretive skills.

Thursday, April 15: 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Friday, April 16: 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 17: 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Advance Registration for Clinical Skills Center Activities
Secure your spot at your desired time by purchasing a reserved ticket ($35 per activity). Tickets are available until 6:00 a.m. the day of the activity. Same-day walks-ins will be accommodated as availability allows.
Reservation Policy for Reserved Clinical Skills Center Activities
Your $35 reservation fee reserves a seat until the activity begins. Because capacity is limited and demand is strong, seats left unfilled when the activity begins will be made available to others, without exception. If you are late to a registered activity, you will only be admitted if capacity allows.
Cancellation Policy
Refunds will be given for Clinical Skills Center cancellations made until March 18, 2027. No refunds will be given after March 18, 2027.

- Residents and fellows who wish to build hands-on competency through small-group activities with direct feedback from expert directors.
What is Ultrasound Alley?
Ultrasound Alley is a dedicated area within the Clinical Skills Center focused on point-of-care ultrasound education. It offers learning opportunities for both beginners and experienced ultrasound users through sessions covering a variety of clinical applications and techniques.
Do I need previous ultrasound experience to attend Ultrasound Alley?
No. Ultrasound Alley activities are designed to support both attendees who are new to point-of-care ultrasound and those who already have ultrasound experience. Activities are intended to accommodate varying skill levels.
How do I reserve a Clinical Skills Center activity?
Attendees can reserve activities by purchasing a ticket or a specific session. Advance registration allows participants to plan their schedules and secure a place in activities that may have limited capacity. Advance registration opens in the fall 2026.
