New for Internal Medicine Meeting 2023! Experience a robust center of professional development resources to help you grow at any stage of your career. Located in the Exhibit Hall, the Career & Professional Development Center offers a variety of activities, mini skills sessions, support resources, and networking opportunities to help you propel your career forward.

  • Participate in energizing mini sessions, roundtable conversations, and personalized coaching sessions in the Academic Skills Center.
  • Find valuable job resources in the Job Placement Center.
  • View award-winning posters and abstracts in the poster area.

Participate in 10 to 15-minute micro sessions designed to help you enhance your academic and professional skills in the Academic Skills Center. Each session will be followed by a Q&A with the Annals of Internal Medicine and Annals of Internal Medicine: Clinical Cases editors.

Sign up for 30-minute one-on-one, personalized Career or QI Coaching sessions with trained coaches in the Academic Skills Center. Appointments must be booked in advance. You can add on your coaching session when you register for Internal Medicine Meeting 2023.

How to add on a coaching session to an existing Internal Medicine Meeting 2023 registration:

  1. Log in to your ACP account
  2. Click on “My Account”
  3. Navigate to “My Meetings” and click on “View Registration” next to Internal Medicine Meeting 2023 San Diego
  4. Next to “Select Events”, click “Edit” and add on your coaching session to your registration

Hundreds of award-winning posters and abstracts will be displayed for viewing and judging in the Academic Skills Center. View and discuss posters created by Early Career Physicians, Residents, and Medical Students. Poster types include Basic Research, Clinical Research, Quality Improvement-Patient Safety, High Value Care, Physician Well-Being and Professional Fulfillment, and Clinical Vignettes.

  • Browse active job openings—stop by the Job Placement Center to peruse job openings by region, or browse available positions on the meeting app.
  • Be seen by potential employers—submit a Physician Profile and CV to be seen by participating employers.
  • Register for CV Review—make a free appointment on-site to have your CV reviewed and get pointers on how to get your CV to work for you.
  • Get assistance navigating the J1 Visa Process—register on-site for a free consultation to meet with an immigration lawyer who will answer your questions regarding the process.
